The user manual that came with my Gossen Digisix 2 Light Meter is in English and German. The Gossen Digisix 2 Light Meter is an ideal enhancement for minimalistic, but nevertheless demanding photographic equipment. It expands the measuring functions of manually adjustable cameras to include incident light measurement, of which better exposure can be achieved for unusual subject contrast. The 1966 GossenSixtar (in US Super Pilot) exposure meter was a derivative of the Lunasix, apparently aimed at the advanced amateur. https://caturiede.tistory.com/11. The Sixtar has a display with match needle instead of luminance scale, making it easier to use.
The 1977 Sixtar 2 (in US Super Pilot SBC) was a completely new meter, but with the same match needle measurement of the Sixtar.
Both meters will accept the same range of clip on accessories as the Lunasix.
Measurement
The Sixtar measures continuously, there is no power switch. The match needle is aligned over the reading needle and then corresponding aperture and shutter speeds read from the scale.
For low light, the button is depressed to activate a reduced scale. In extreme low light, this button can be depressed further to lock the reading needle.
The font or typeface is consistent over the entire driver’s license. The expiration date on the license has passed. The person holding the license seems nervous or anxious. The blacklight enhancements are missing or altered. A signature in “real time” doesn’t match the signature on the license. The background image is altered or missing. Setting Correction Factors
As many as two different correction factors can be entered to the MAVO-SPOT 2.
As default values, Corr1 is set to a factor of 1.000 (no correction) and Corr2 to a factor of 3.142 (illuminance
measurement with GOSSEN reflection standard, optional accessory).
Press the
key to select the Corr function.
Select the desired correction factor with the MFK (visible at the top of the display).
While setting the factor, any measured value shown in the display is correspondingly adjusted (visible at the
bottom of the display).
